When the country is facing so many challenges, what exactly are the government's priorities?

Young people are frustrated by repeated paper leak scandals. Inflation continues to put pressure on household budgets. Discussions about water shortages and fuel-related concerns are taking place in several parts of the country. Many people feel uncertain about their future.

At such a time, another overseas trip by the Prime Minister has become a subject of debate.

Interestingly, only a few weeks after returning from a lengthy foreign visit, another international tour is already on the schedule. Critics argue that whenever difficult questions arise at home, the Prime Minister is often seen traveling abroad.

The country's youth may be worried about their future, questions may be raised about the economy, and people may be dealing with everyday challenges, yet it appears that international engagements are receiving greater attention than these domestic concerns.

In any case, the trip will go ahead. The real question is what message the Prime Minister will deliver to the world this time, and what answers he will bring back for the people of India.

A gentleman on LinkedIn accused me of being unhappy with India. He’s right.

I’m unhappy that citizens have allowed my country of birth to be overwhelmed by garbage, crumbling infrastructure, open defecation, polluted streets, rampant cheating in exams, and an education system that prepares people for the past instead of the future.

Pointing out problems is not hatred. Pretending they don’t exist is.

ಇಂದು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಗಲ ಮೇಲಿರುವುದು ಕೇವಲ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲ, ಬದಲಿಗೆ ಕೋಟ್ಯಂತರ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನು ನನಸು ಮಾಡುವ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ. ಈ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕರುಣಿಸಿದ ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ, ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಕರಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಂತ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಗಳು.

ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಇಂದಿನ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ, ಹೊಸ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಶಿಖರಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಈ ಸರ್ವತೋಮುಖ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರೈತರು, ಶ್ರಮಿಕರು, ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ಯುವಜನರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವ ನಮಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ.

ಯಾವುದೇ ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿದರೆ ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದುದು ಯಾವುದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಬನ್ನಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಪೀಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಪಡುವಂತಹ ಸುಂದರ, ಸಮೃದ್ಧ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಗತಿಪರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟೋಣ.
