Satellite re-entry? Before I started filming, it sent out a ring like we typically see when rockets/space debris re-enter our atmosphere. 9:27pm looking west from downtown Bryan, TX. #space @KBTXRusty
@OneTrueVillain @KBTXRusty It could have been but I’ve never seen a satellite send out a “smoke ring” and then fade into nothing. It looked like something small entering our atmosphere and burning up.
After over 3 years of work, I’m happy to say my first paper (w/ @DisasterFlix and @murillomojo) is up online!
We found that echo top heights were significantly underpredicted by HRRR, potentially meaning too little transport to the stratosphere in CAMs.
