First full day running #macOS#Ventura on my #Mac. Enjoying it so far. Stage manager is surprisingly useful, Continuity camera works well with MS Teams and my Mac’s performance is still good 👍
Just tested macOS joining AD with PacRequestorEnforcement set to 2, and all updates applied to the dc. All working ok now 👍. So ADpocolypse in October can be cancelled.
More info: PacRequestorEnforcement is a new registry key in AD that, if set to “2” (full enforcement mode) prevented macOS from binding. This was due to be rolled out by MS in oct, which would have caused issues for some orgs. Looks like they fixed it in a recent update.
@SwiftOnSecurity Or, this could be total genius 🤔 I mean, why create multiple unique sites for each email provider when you can mash them all together?
Asked to deploy software from @glyphsapp last week to a bunch of lab Macs. Finding a page like this https://t.co/mwFTwoBaVL detailing the process for #macadmins is so helpful. Well done Glyphs! 🙌
Bit annoying Apple don’t put CVSS scores against their patched CVEs. What are you doing when you asses them currently? Just assuming each one is critical? Or something else?
Tried out the Kerberos extension payload for macOS today in #jamfpro. All tickets and user password syncing working nicely. Even simpler and smoother than I had hoped.
Had to erase and reinstall my M1 Mac mini. It was a very buggy and unintuitive process. I’ve no idea how a non-tech person is supposed to be able to figure it out!
you know how you are on a zoom call and someone wants to share their screen but macOS stays they have to quit the app and restart it for screen sharing to work? Turns out that you don’t have to quit and screen sharing works fine.
I really wish I knew this a year ago.
