Trump’s Big Ugly Bill has stripped SNAP from 4 million people. Families shouldn’t be forced to choose between putting food on the table and paying the bills. We must reverse these cruel cuts—in the richest country in the world, no one should go hungry.
Trump and Rubio are reckless hypocrites. They want to allow Saudi Arabia to develop nuclear technologies while starting a war with Iran under the guise of preventing an Iranian nuclear bomb. This deal will make us all less safe. We must stop a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.
"this is the greatest we'll ever be for the wealthiest Americans... through my effort & their bribery, I have arranged for them to pay little or no taxes while you fools, like those cheering behind me, bear the brunt of our magnificent corruption. losers & suckers, we salute you. keep those cheers coming & don't forget to exit through the gift shop."
Another mysterious Epstein-related death: French model recruiter Daniel Siad, whose name appears more than 2,000 times in the released Epstein files, was found dead at his home near Paris.
Siad arranged meetings between Jeffrey Epstein and young women for years and is also part of an ongoing criminal investigation in France into Epstein’s ties to the modeling industry. One Epstein victim described Siad as “essentially a professional trafficker.”
Authorities say an autopsy will determine the cause of death.
"When we look at the Epstein files, we can see investigative leads on almost every page," says Liz Stein. "Our Department of Justice doesn't want to follow investigative leads in what is quite possibly the largest international sex trafficking ring we have ever seen." https://t.co/Dc73rl1EL0
Tomorrow, the House will vote on the NDAA, which includes a provision to merge parts of our military with the IDF.
This amendment is an existential threat to American sovereignty and democracy.
Every member of Congress must vote NO.
@HormuzLetter ⛽ Taking out major gas processing infrastructure marks a huge jump from targeting military command posts.
Moving from tactical military sites to energy assets is a direct line to spiking global fuel prices and deepening the regional war.
As Trump and Doug Burgum get ready to cut down DC's oldest grove of cherry blossom trees for a golf course this Sept, understand this.
Trump removed federal protections on 3,000,000 acres of national monuments Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante in Utah for drilling, mining and development.
That reduces the size of those protected wilderness lands by 90%.
To give you an idea of the extent of that loss, 3 million acres is larger than the size of Yellowstone National Park. Imagine Yellowstone completely GONE.
It's the land equivalent of wiping out Los Angeles, Chicago, NYC, Jacksonville, Houston, Phoenix, San Antonio, Dallas, San Diego, Austin. Imagine all those cities flattened and gone.
That's what Trump is doing to our protected public lands.
BREAKING: Pete Hegseth just arrived in the Capitol to testify at the Senate Appropriations Committee to ask for an additional $87,600,000,000 mostly for "urgent needs" connected with the Iran war.
America First means fixing our own country first.
Reed: Your fallback to the Biden administration is just a very obvious excuse for what I think is probably gross negligence. You did not fully inform the president that you would be in a situation where the Strait of Hormuz could be effectively closed.
Hegseth: The fact that those contingencies all were part of the possibility, and we understood that is all the more reason why president trump deserves the kind of praise he should get.
Reed: He should be praised for starting war without authority, creating a situation in which the world economy is suffering tremendously?
BREAKING: Pete Hegseth just asked Congress for $1.5 TRILLION for the Department of War (a 50% increase in our military budget.)
He then blames Joe Biden for the Department needing the extra $500 BILLION.
Note that we are almost $40 TRILLION in debt.
Senator Gary Peters has a mic drop moment during the Senate confirmation hearing for Pete Hegseth:
"I don't think there's a board of directors in America that would hire you as a CEO...you talk about standards...do you think that the way to raise the minimum standards of the people who serve us is to lower the standards for the Secretary of Defense?"

Rep. Kweisi Mfume, D-Md., said Black Americans are “outraged at what is happening now with these efforts to do away with the African American museum and all of the Smithsonian,” during a House Oversight subcommittee hearing Tuesday.
“If you erase it, we will replace it,” Mfume said. “It’s that damn simple.”
In his comments, Mfume quoted former President Abraham Lincoln and said “history taught us and still teaches us that we can't keep making the same mistakes.”
Mfume said he sat at the hearing “as a Black man who grew up in segregation, who wasn't allowed to go certain places, who drank from a water fountain that said colored, who found his mother and his father unable to do anything other than basic day work.”
“We will not let you destroy that museum. No matter how long it takes, how many battles are required, how much effort is needed, we will not allow that to happen,” Mfume said. “Unless you find a way to kill all of us and walk over our bodies to change history.”
The hearing focused on the way the Smithsonian Institution presents scholarship on U.S. history. In announcing the hearing, the Republican-led committee claimed that the “Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History is promoting a narrow, politically tendentious agenda instead of seeking to instill in visitors an appreciation for America’s unique history as a beacon of liberty, democracy, and opportunity.”
In President Donald Trump’s second term, his administration has sought to clamp down on how American history is framed in public spaces, removing exhibits from national parks on slavery and violence against Native Americans.
This is all that remains of the apartment that housed the al-Masri family, after the flames consumed them alive following an Israeli airstrike that targeted the home at dawn today in Gaza City.
