Just posted on Davidson Historical Society website: A summary and podcast replay of our recent program on Lake Norman history. Thanks to Chuck McShane and Blodgett for lending their expertise, and to Bailey's Glen for hosting us. https://t.co/TnrT0MOL7S
A construction crew broke a water main on Concord Road in downtown Davidson earlier today. The road is closed at Lorimer Road near the Village Green, as of 2:45pm. No word on reopening. Davidson College warned staff to move parked cars because the road is bucking. @CLTWater
1-hour since our trans-Pacific flight from Taipei (UA 852) landed at SFO and we're still parked on the tarmac with no sign of heading to a gate. Our gate remains occupied. What a mess @united Many missed connections on this one.
Our neighbor T Berry is grateful for the donations to the GoFundMe. We're close to finding him a new place to live. Here's my latest update. https://t.co/1qFfh732g2
Friends: Our #DavidsonNC neighbor T Berry is in need. A tree recently fell on his house and he's also been ill. He's that guy you've seen around town selling walking sticks, to supplement his tiny income. Can you help? https://t.co/YfD9rm8a1K
Here's my longer report on Monday's NCDOT community meeting in Davidson on the Potts-Sloan-Beaty road project, including asbestos removal. https://t.co/PBjxpmcdO7
@CLTWater There's a water line leak at N. Main and Railroad streets, next to 20104 N. Main St. Cornelius. It's been there a couple of weeks, bubbling up from the pavement.
Thanks so much for your generous contributions to our fundraiser for T Berry. As of Friday, we've raised about $4,900 on GoFundMe toward our goal. I've posted an update here. He's truly thankful. Can you help?

Out today: My third story in @whqr's 3-part series "Rising Waters," examining the growing problem of high-tide flooding - sometimes called "sunny day flooding." It's worsening with sea level rise due to climate change. https://t.co/4wPwGZ03vt
