🧵Did you know that as a taxpayer, whether you like it or not, you are funding charities and NGOs that lobby the government?
Anti-pipeline activism? You paid for it
Anti-vaping activism? You paid for it
Anti-housing activism? You paid for it
Anti-alcohol activism? You paid for it
We are saying no to a data centre in Île-des-Chênes because there are big threats to the environment and not much benefit to the economy.
Our message to any tech company out there… if you want to build technology with a thoughtful, human-centred approach that puts humanity first, then Manitoba is open for business. 🦬
"Canadians will literally be footing the bill for the government to require companies to track their comings and goings, as well as their communications, and keep that information for an entire year."
My latest for the @ConsumerChoiceC in the @calgarysun
Big victory for Canadian consumers as the Carney government orders the CRTC to reverse plans to triple the streaming tax and admits such a move would have imposed higher costs on consumers. This is an important step, but ultimately the entire tax must go.

Homosexuality exists. In America.
In fact Andy, you have family, friends, neighbors, colleagues and constituents who are gay and lesbian.
It doesn’t make them less than or somehow unworthy of being an American.
What an absolutely idiotic statement to make.
Rachel Gilmore is an attention-seeking crank. It's not just about the misreported "mass grave" claim. In any case, that error "made in 6.5% of articles five years ago" was what caused Justin Trudeau to lower the flags on all federal buildings for more than 5 months.
Pierre Poilievre "I remember Mr. Alghabra lobbying me before he was in politics to keep Hezbollah legal, so I'm not sure that he's the right guy to combat anti Semitism." @PierrePoilievre
Looks like the Trump administration wants USMCA cars to be 50% 'Made In America". Ironically, under NAFTA more cars from The Big Three were Made in America than under the USMCA....
Taxpayers owning 50% of big AI companies would make them too big to fail. Any market correction would mean taxpayers would be on the hook for billions. And politicians would be incentivized to pass legislation to prop these companies up indefinitely
I will soon be introducing a bill to give the public a 50% ownership stake in the largest AI companies in America.
This would guarantee that the trillions created by AI are used to improve the lives of all of us — and block oligarch decisions that harm the American people.
🚨🚨 North Carolina Age Verification Bill Hearing Tomorrow AM! 🚨🚨 This bill is unconstitutional and would negatively impact NC consumers' online experience. A quick🧵:
This is a tragic story where a drug approved by the FDA years ago (TIL Therapy), approved by Health Canada in October 2025, wasn't made available to this young athlete because of our overly bureaucratic "review process" that adds on average 28.9 months from approval to access https://t.co/VpsTfAdGzl
This has quietly been a miracle month in medicine.
In the last 5 weeks we’ve got news on:
- retatrutide, the triple agonist GLP-1 from Lilly, basically melting fat and body-wide inflammation at record levels
- RevMed’s new pancreatic cancer drug showing unprecedented abilities to extend life
- small trial of a one-and-done PCSK9 gene editing therapy for slashing LDL cholesterol
- Mayo’s AI-assisted radiology showing vastly improved cancer detection
- this new therapy for metastatic solid tumors
This stuff is at varying levels of evidence. Retatrutide is ~100% on its way, other stuff needs more clinical trial data. But put it together and we’re maybe on the verge of majorly reducing the mortality of heart disease and cancer, the two leading causes of death in America.
