@edercampuzano Yep… I feel really fortunate to have had newsroom jobs covering rural areas for the past four years, but I realize those jobs aren’t growing on trees. It’ll take more support from the public to grow this type of coverage too, and that’s a tough ask.
1. More reporters should consider covering rural areas and more newsrooms should see the value in rural beats. Would benefit journalism + the public.
2. Feels weird that “reporters” can refer to both people who cover small city council meetings and people who have talent agents.
Will there be a journalistic brain drain in DC? A talent agent said what I've also heard anecdotally: A lot of reporters are "questioning if they have it in them to report on another Trump cycle."
Steady stream of voters at St. George’s only polling place this morning.
Even with the prevalence of mail voting, lots of folks wanted to come here. Some were first-timers excited about the milestone. Others felt it was more secure.

"Americans heading to the polls should know their vote will count. The system is working. Still, in recent days, bad actors have flooded social media with false allegations of election irregularities in several states, including ours."

Trump joking that journalists around him are serving as human shields. Repeats joke that he wouldn't 'mind that so much' if someone shot through reporters doing their jobs. Crowd laughs. This follows two assassination attempts. One left an audience member dead.
Centuries-long Navajo food traditions faded when the people were removed from their land in the 1860s. Today people in southeast Utah are trying to preserve what was nearly lost. https://t.co/nHyPpOCcaX
This afternoon @POTUS will take to the Gila River Indian Community where he will issue a formal apology for the federal government’s Indian boarding school program.
This is the first for a U.S. president. Tribal leaders tell me it’s key to healing.

Since 2018, @stewardshiputah has registered 3,624 new voters in Utah’s Navajo Nation. Those new voices could have a big impact in November. https://t.co/lciBsIM7mr
