@redeemed_zoomer Most things should be made with beauty rooted in history and tradition: buildings, literature, artwork. But some things are almost completely utilitarian in their essence, like measurement systems. The metric system should be universally adopted.
@thisisfoster May the LORD God do this for your church.
"But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children,
to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments." —Psalm 103:17-18
@uribrito Thank you for this. I am increasingly desiring to follow the church calendar, but I have one question: I thought that conservative Reformed Christians mostly reject the church calendar because it goes against the Regulative Principle of Worship. Do you believe that it doesn't?
@Deanas777@thisisfoster It's true that faith in Jesus is all you need to have eternal life, but faith is a journey, not a one-time action. This difficult trek must be done in fellowship with God's People, who pick each other up when they fall. We are all members of Christ's body! 1 Corinthians 12:12-27
TikTok is the One Ring.
CCP is Sauron.
The One Ring gives you great power, yet it sucks your life out. After a long mission to destroy it with Sauron fighting you, it tempts you with 1000s of jobs for Americans and billions of dollars for creators. Just cast it into fire already!
TIkTok is at its essence a mass communication tool. Tools shouldn't be banned in themselves. Swords shouldn't be banned because they are dangerous; they are tools that should be used properly. But if someone has placed a sword through your chest, it would be wise to remove it.
