@rpyers To be clear though, it would be a simple majority vote bill for the Legislature to move it to November 2024. With the primary in March though, they may need an urgency bill.
@rpyers Under current statute, any measure placed on the ballot by the Legislature defaults to the primary ballot unless the Legislature specifies otherwise. So for now, it’s March. I watched that bill go through back when I worked at Howard Jarvis.
@AlexCVassar@Patterdude I’m with @AlexCVassar. You’re running for office bro. She’s going to make some crazy sacrifices for you over the next year. Go out to dinner, or find a sports bar with great food like FieldHouse in Sac.
@FaithCSacto Get as many cell phone numbers of legislators and staff as you can. Email just doesn’t work. People are just too overwhelmed to respond to everything timely.
@RussellLowery10@SteveMeisterVDM@wagraham If he believes a 15 percent threshold is arbitrary and capricious, especially if other businesses aren’t held to the same standard, and he’s getting arrested for biblical convictions (clearly true) then so be it. I won’t celebrate that, but nor can I just excuse it as politics.
@SteveMeisterVDM@RussellLowery10@wagraham Even Chief Justice Roberts changed his mind over a three month period about allowing indoor worship. If he can do it, for whatever reason, we certainly shouldn’t impugn the motives of a pastor who has a biblical desire to be with his flock.
@BeckyWarrenCA@GarrySouth@samhensonCA@CAGOP@cmarinucci .@samhensonCA is one of the most dedicated and driven staffers I've ever had the honor to work with in 15 years of being in CA politics. She is a true bipartisan student of policy and runs a wonderful band. This cheap shot is ridiculous.
In Nevada Wisconsin Pennsylvania and Georgia a combined 15.5 million people have voted for President. The COMBINED margin of victory in those states right now? 51000 votes. I never EVER want to hear someone say again that their individual vote doesn’t matter.
@bleep4me @ItsjustAl_ok The @SacBeeEditBoard Endorses #Yeson19 writing "Prop. 19 will help cities, counties, fire agencies and people who need to downsize or move closer to loved ones. The Bee recommends a yes vote. Read more here: https://t.co/wVMAD54gKU
