AI is almost completely funded by private investment. Taxing it misses the point. How about just making sure it follows the rules of not allowing theft of intellectual property?
AI is trained on human creativity and intelligence, funded by federal research using taxpayer dollars, and powered by data centers built on American land.
The success of AI should belong to all of us.
It’s time to tax AI and invest in people.
Meeting choral composer/arranger legend Roger Emerson, 2026. 2nd slide: playing my first Roger Emerson, c. 1987. What an energy of musical enthusiasm. Roger, it was lovely getting to say hello and talk shop after so many years!

Sh-Boom (Life Could Be a Dream). Maybe the best song from the Clue soundtrack. Now available for TTBB vocal groups a cappella @SheetMusicDir and Sheet Music Plus.
No greater joy than making music with fabulous performers. This was a choral writing clinic hosted by @The_SCL and expertly led by Fletcher Sheridan and moderated by Esin Aydingoz. Writing choral music is a unique skill and unlike any other type of writing. Fletcher and his band of 30 LA singers did some amazing stuff.
New vid showing how I take 47 takes of 52 mics of a 60-piece orchestra and comp it down into one performance using @motutech's Digital Performer. https://t.co/7UCyP8qXEA
Why can't Apple kill iTunes? Even though they want to. I'm fascinated with the transition from music purchasing (ITMS) to streaming (Apple Music and Spotify) but it's left us in quite a weird place. I explore that a bit: https://t.co/X5VcSqjkO1
