Thanks @Classical_IPR for reminding me how lovely Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F is, this morning. 📻 An excellent companion piece to “Rhapsody in Blue,” which I also love (and am still glowing about, after Saturday’s performance by WYSO/Lang Lang). Hard to choose between them...
. @Classical_IPR just played Schubert’s “Trout” quintet, and for a moment there, I had a really strong urge to go take my laundry out of the washing machine. 🎵🧺🎶 (Context: https://t.co/nwV2KJWrxK)
A hole-in-one on today’s Wordle! It’s my first (and likely last) time getting it on the first try, so it’s worth documenting, I figure. And I start with a different word every day, so this was just crazy, dumb luck.

I start November 13 and am feeling really excited and honored to be joining this team. Pics: Kresge Auditorium, Green Lake, maple leaves in autumn, the bear statue keeping watch over campus, and a sign declaring that “In this place, art meets the air.” (3/3)
Life update: I have a new job! As of next week, I'll be the Philanthropy Writer at @InterlochenArts. I am *over the moon* to be joining this storied institution that's been championing arts education in the woods of northern Michigan for nearly a century (since 1928). (1/3)
At @InterlochenArts, I’ll be researching and writing stories for the philanthropy magazine, writing annual reports and grant applications, proofreading fundraising copy, and generally keeping tabs on what’s happening on campus, so I can write about it! (2/3)
A first for me: I just ended an email to a customer support center by saying I'd prefer a response from a human, not from the AI robot who responded the first time. 🤖 #SkynetCustomerService
Interesting news! It’s exciting to see @AppleMusic continue its commitment to the classical side of things. This acquisition of @BIS_records (announced today) is a big deal. #ClassicalMusic 🎻 https://t.co/nitC01VBQf
Something I LOVE about music: those unique places within the mind, those corners of your own imagination that you forgot about, that only a *specific* piece of music can take you back to. Right now, it’s Debussy’s “Nocturnes.” Hello again, old friend. https://t.co/vPiYLcGtIs
Today's full moon is the first of two in August! This full moon is the second largest in Earth's skies for 2023, appearing about 6 percent bigger & 16 percent brighter than the average full moon of 2023. Check out our Daily Moon Guide for more: https://t.co/sxohDsaNnO
Hey friends, I’m on the radio again! Starting tomorrow (Aug. 30), I’ll be a host at @KingFM on Sundays, 5–8am. From 6–8am, my show, “Sunday Sunrise,” will have a choral/vocal music focus.
5–8am PDT (4–7am AK, 8–11am Eastern): tune in at 98.1 FM or https://t.co/OXyvPit7kd.
This song — “In the Bleak Midwinter” — has been in my head the past few days. It’s one of my all-time favorite Christmas carols. 🎵🎶🎄 I just got a new 📓 of blank staff paper and a fresh box of ✏️ (hey, @Blackwing!), and this felt like a fun way to break in both of them.
ICYMI, here’s part of our Solstice preview on @kingfm for @nwfocus Live with @SeanKINGFM. Thanks to Sean and Jason Frazier for the amazing recording of Don Macdonald’s “Winter Sun”!
