Over a decade ago, our paths first crossed when Olatunji Disu was leading the RRS in Lagos as an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). What started as a professional encounter grew into years of collaboration in some of the most demanding security operations, where innovation wasn’t a luxury but a necessity.
These photos capture moments that words often struggle to explain fully. Moments in the field. Moments where technology meets real-life urgency. Moments where decisions are made not just with experience, but with foresight.
As a technology and drone specialist, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside a leader who understands that the future of policing lies in intelligence, precision, and the smart use of tools. From deploying drones in surveillance operations to integrating technology into real-time decision-making, I’ve seen firsthand how intentional leadership can transform outcomes.
What stands out most is not merely the adoption of technology, but the IGP’s deliberate commitment to engaging new technology and deploying it where it delivers real impact.
Now, as he steps into this new role, I am genuinely excited to continue working with him, just as I have done for over a decade, contributing to a shared vision of smarter, more effective policing.
For Nigeria, this isn’t just another appointment. It’s an opportunity to reimagine policing, one that is smarter, faster, and more responsive to the realities we face today.
From the ground up, I’ve seen the evolution. And if these moments are anything to go by, the journey ahead holds real promise.
With INGENPOL, the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, paid a strategic working visit to the EIB Group, led by its Chairman, Bright Echefu, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the technological and operational capabilities of the Nigeria Police Force.
During the visit, the IGP toured several key facilities, including EIB Stratoc Limited, Idu (surveillance solutions), Poctova, Idu (security uniform production), Briech AS, Kuje (drone manufacturing), and Giga Forensics, Idu (forensic and interception solutions).
The visit highlights the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to embracing innovative technologies and fostering strategic private-sector partnerships aimed at enhancing intelligence gathering, forensic capabilities, and overall policing effectiveness in addressing modern security challenges.

Honoured to share my thoughts in recent interviews with Punch Newspapers and Business Day on why Africa must embrace high-tech, transparent and environmentally responsible mineral development.
Africa’s lithium, cobalt, nickel and rare earths aren’t just resources; they are a historic opportunity to reshape our development and support the global energy transition.
At Dorogis Limited, we’re showing what’s possible when AI, drone geophysics and satellite analytics meet geoscience to reveal new mineral potential across the continent.
But innovation must be matched with strong policy, transparent governance and a dedicated National Critical Minerals Agency to keep value within our communities.
As I shared in the interview:
“Until we pair Nigeria’s geology with the tools of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, our resources will remain geological trivia rather than economic leverage.”
A sustainable, tech-driven mining future is possible if we choose it.

Monazite vs Gold: Which Mineral Fuels the Future?
In today’s shifting global landscape, monazite a rare earth phosphate may not glimmer like gold, but it powers the technologies that shape our world.
While gold remains the cornerstone of financial security and luxury, monazite
magnets, smart weapons, renewable grids, and next-gen computing.
Gold is stable. Monazite is strategic.
As nations scramble for mineral independence and clean-tech supply chains, monazite isn’t just critical, it’s geopolitically priceless.
