The internet started as Web1 — read-only.
Then came Web2 — where we could create, post, and connect.
But there was a catch.
Platforms like Facebook and Google gave us a voice…
then took ownership of our data, attention, and digital identity.
We became the product.
Then in 2008, everything shifted.
Satoshi Nakamoto introduced Bitcoin — not just as money, but as an idea:
“What if we didn’t need middlemen at all?”
A system where trust is coded, not controlled.
That idea evolved.
In 2015, Vitalik Buterin expanded it with Ethereum — bringing smart contracts and unlocking a new layer of the internet.
Now, we’re here.
Web3.
An internet where: – You own your assets
– You control your identity
– You participate, not just consume
From DeFi to NFTs to DAOs…
this isn’t just tech.
