From 2018: In an age when the musical was no longer a hit machine, Andrew Lloyd Webber returned the form to its origins in operetta. https://t.co/HsoowcLOXI
3/3. Even when we don’t always see eye-to-eye, that’s part of the learning process, and it never changes the high regard I hold for each and every one of you. Care doesn’t get smaller the more you share it—it just grows. Good luck, legends! 💪🎭

Celebrating My Matric Dramatic Arts Class of 2024 (With their permission) A thread.
1/3. You are all stars in your own right, and I’ve loved teaching you this year—watching you grow into the incredible young adult superstars you are.
2/3. As you head into your final exams, I have no doubt that you’ll go out and conquer the world next year. ⭐🌍
I often get asked, "Are we your favourite class?" The truth is that all of my students are my favourites.
3/3. I’ve been loving resources like @PepsMccrea's "Evidence Snacks," a weekly email that offers bite-sized insights - proving that sometimes, it’s the smallest changes that have the biggest impact. A little thought goes a long way! 💡📚
What's trending in your world today? A thread.
1/3. When it comes to my work in the classroom and as an administrator in the school system, I’m really excited to see a shift (back) towards evidence-based strategies in education. Too often, we stick to methods because...
2/3. ..."that’s how it’s always been done" or because of anecdotal success. While those latter experiences can be valuable, it’s great to dig deeper and use research-backed strategies that can make a meaningful difference.
2/2. ...whether related to teaching, theatre, my creative process, or finding balance between it all. It's been great connecting with those of you who've replied or dropped me a message. Thanks for sharing the journey!

1/2. It's been an interesting time finding a different way of engaging in social media this week, and I've learned that I quite enjoy sharing personal reflections and creative insights based on meaningful (to me, at least!) experiences from my professional and personal life...
2/2. So today, I've hung an artwork, gone to a cute little market for breakfast, looked at some sweet little flowers, hit the colouring book with my Crayolas, played a little DCUO and taken the best nap. And now it's time for tea!

What do you do to refresh yourself on the weekend? A thread.
1/2. Anyone who knows me will be able to tell you I'm a recovering workaholic - and something I've learned is that making time for life outside work is incredibly important to find balance in life.
3/3. An arts education teaches resilience, adaptability and the ability to deliver under pressure - skills that go far beyond the stage or studio. It’s a lesson in always showing up, no matter where you are or what you're doing.

Arts education is where it's at, folks. A thread.
1/3. In any profession, there’s a big difference between doing enough and really showing up and getting things done. In the arts, we learn that it’s not just about hitting the minimum requirements.
2/3. It’s about being present, committed and fully engaged in the process.
True professionalism isn’t about ticking boxes; it’s about bringing your best self to every moment, even when it’s challenging.
What’s interesting is how this mindset translates to other careers.
3/3. I've been thinking about the @benjpasek and @heyitsjustin musicals over the last few days, and how much I enjoyed working on their early song cycle, EDGES, way back in 2011, which is where today's photo is from. What a great set of songs!
