After being included in an Epstein joke at the Grammys, President Trump threatens to sue host Trevor Noah – who he’d always thought was a really great guy, for saving all those poor animals from drowning
I have also seen my job for tomorrow and it won’t include any work on the Portsmouth Direct so I have driven the line under the old signalling for the last time. So long Farncombe, Haslemere and Petersfield boxes and thanks for all the green signals.
Great to welcome Railway 200 ambassador Mike Lamport to our '200' event with South Western Railway staff at Haslemere Station. He's with Haslemere Signal Box trustees John Harris (left) and Jock Gardner, (right), with preserved Dennis Loline behind. #CommunityRail in action!
Counting down to our joint event with #Haslemere station staff to mark the 200th anniversary of railways ... SEVEN MORE SLEEPS! Fun, games, music, short talks, historical transport – and our plans for development. All ages welcome! Station forecourt, 11am to 3pm. #communityrail

Today sees the start of a new era for @SW_Help as it becomes the first operator to be taken back into public control under the new legislation. The first publicly operated service from London is the 06.14 WAT-Shepp with a 701 carrying “Great British Railways coming soon” branding
^Also you get to see inside Stewarts Lane Depôt in Battersea, which is pretty cool. I think you can tell from my face that that day at work was quite an enjoyable one. Big thanks to @westcoastrail too for letting us do what we did.
It’s a big week in a big year … #CommunityRailWeek#Railway200 … and #Haslemere Community Station & Signal Box Trust is celebrating online (of course!). Find our new video at https://t.co/qEmAaNWr7M
@Chris_TheDriver So glad you were able to attend – and great to chat to you. I hope we can stay reasonably in touch! Our website is https://t.co/AaGwuyrdT1
Today we welcomed VIPs from @networkrail@SW_Help@RailwayHeritage for our special @veday80 @railway200 event: unveiling our new memorial to the 626 Southern Railway war victims. Also great support from local people and organisations.
🇬🇧Today we marked the 80th anniversary of #VEday with a special event at Haslemere station with @SW_Help & other stakeholders.
🤝As part of this event we unveiled a special plaque to commemorate the 626 railway workers who lost their lives during the war.
#WeWillRememberThem
A very well attended and thought through event at #HaslemereStation to remember the 626 who lost their lives in the war. This memorial will be part of the Signal Box Trust’s garden when they take on the lease at the year end. Hoping to help with a grant award @SW_Help
