Don’t run away from the frying pan only to land in the fire.

If you’re going to leave the frying pan, make sure you’re heading somewhere cooler—not straight into flames.

I know firsthand that a lot is happening in Nigeria. Our governance, economy, healthcare, education—almost every part of the system is under pressure. Many people are exhausted, frustrated, and desperately searching for a way out.

For many, that way out is japa.

And honestly, I understand why.

But here’s my question: What if you escape one struggle only to enter a bigger one?

What if you move from Sapa to Sapa Pro Max?

Migration is not a magic wand or one babalawo strategy that automatically fixes everything. If it’s like that, you think everybody would not have gone out?

Yes, migration can open doors. It can expose you to better opportunities and completely change your life for the better.

But let me not lie to you—it can also spoil your life if you do it the wrong way.

I’ve seen people leave with excitement and, a few months later, they’re struggling to survive, battling loneliness, debt, unemployment, or jobs they never imagined they’d have to do but they’ll not tell you online because they don’t want you to laugh at them.

That’s why I always say this: don’t just prepare to travel, prepare to migrate.

And when I say prepare, I’m not talking about buying a box that fits all your outfits or packing winter jackets, or getting an aesthetically pleasing box, that’s fine but that’s not the koko of the matter.

I’m talking about preparing for the life you’re going to meet.

Ask yourself:

➡️Why am I really leaving?
➡️What pathway is best for me?
➡️How will I sustain myself financially?
➡️What’s my employment plan?
➡️Do I have skills that are in demand?
➡️Have I researched the realities of the country I’m moving to? Because how can you who can’t stand an AC migrate to Siberia?
➡️Do I have a support system?

Too many people prepare for the journey but not for the life that comes after arrival. They prepare their content tools and strategies so they can pepper us when they finally move abroad, little did they know that life will pepper them.

The goal shouldn’t just be to leave Nigeria.

The goal should be to build a better life.

So before you japa, prepare intentionally.

Don’t just migrate, migrate wisely.

Don’t japa from Sapa to Sapa Pro Max.
