@DavidHarewood as a child of the generation that was moving and a joy to watch as you took us though the great life and times of a story to be told. This should be shown in all schools 👏🏿#thericharddimblebylecture@BBCiPlayer
@DavidHarewood delivered the Richard Dimbleby Lecture last night. Wonderful insight into his sense of self and identity which we could all learn from.
First person of colour in the 50 year history of the lecture! https://t.co/4DCqDC5Iwb

@DavidHarewood Very moving & uplifting speech for the Dimbleby Lecture. Excellent. With all the struggles & hardships that the Windrush had to go through, you had an underlying positive tone. My dad was a very proud Jamaican. I still make rice & peas for Xmas dinner every year!
@DavidHarewood Thank you David for your excellent speech, so spot on. I am currently reading your superb book and learning so much, even at 71 everyday still a school day ❤️
Had a brilliant time listening to @DavidHarewood delivering his speech for the #dimblebylecture at @battersea_arts the first blackman to have done so in its long history, and he absolutely smashed it, from truth about mental illness to #Windrush75 stories of his family, so good.
Today I had the privilege of seeing history being made. The first person of colour to deliver the Dimbleby Lecture on the BBC.
Marking the 75th anniversary of Windrush @DavidHarewood’s highly personal speech raised important issues about what it means to be Black British. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
