Happy Heterosexual Pride Month!
The Texas Rangers are hosting Faith & Family Night on Thursday, June 18.
They are also still the only MLB team that does not host Pride Night.
Faith. Family. Baseball.
That is America.
Why was it important to write that verse tonight?
ROUPP: "The rainbow is a symbol of God's covenant to us, and us as believers stand firm in that... There's no hate at all."
What would say if somebody considered that derogatory toward them as a community?
ROUPP: "As a believer, I would push them to read the Bible. God has blessed me in so many ways and I don't think I'd be here right now if it wasn't for him."
We have lost our minds.
A jury convicted Karmelo Anthony of murder for stabbing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf to death. Evidence was presented. Witnesses testified. Self-defense was rejected. He got 35 years.
That’s not a “legal lynching.” That’s justice.
Crying racism because the killer is Black and the victim was White doesn’t change the facts: actions have consequences.
Austin is dead. His family grieves. The system worked.
Stop excusing violence.

Mets PR legend @Jay_HorwitzPR posting that former Mets and Red Sox pitcher Wes Gardner passed away today the age of 65. I remember him as friendly, accommodating, with million dollar smile. He pitched for the Red Sox from 1986 to 1990 so that makes him one of my guys. RIP
Want to know how bad hitting has become?
Go compare today’s batting averages to those from 20–30 years ago.
Hitters back then had to cover a much bigger strike zone, especially on the outer half, where umpires routinely gave pitchers strikes off the plate.
Today’s hitters have a tighter zone, technology, replay, and more information than ever.
Yet the offensive product is worse.
And before the velocity and spin-rate crowd jumps in, remember: TrackMan changed how velocity is measured. MLB’s own documentation acknowledges that TrackMan measures the ball out of the hand and can read 2–6 mph higher than older radar systems.
The bigger problem is that over the last decade baseball tried to reinvent the swing.
The result?
More strikeouts.
Less adjustability.
Less ability to use the whole field.
Fewer complete hitters.
Pitching development isn’t much better. It’s become max effort, max velocity, and max spin rate.
The game didn’t get smarter.
In a lot of ways, it got worse.
2 lives were destroyed the day Carmelo Anthony decided to stab Austin Metcalf!
One family lost a son forever and the other will be without their son while he serves a prison term he absolutely deserves!
The reality is that Carmelo’s parents are at fault for not teaching their son right and wrong but I guess they’ll be chilling in their million dollar house and driving their fancy cars that they bought with the @gofundme money they raised for Carmelo’s defense.
Carmelo going to prison has nothing to do with his skin color and everything to do with committing a heinous crime he thought he wouldn’t be held accountable for!
Everyone involved loses today!
