The protocol officer who pointed Bishop David Oyedepo in the direction of this young man is a perfect example of what we call a destiny helper.

What he did may seem small and insignificant, but it made a big difference. Bishop could have easily walked past without noticing the young man or his work.

But thanks to that protocol officer for taking the time to point Bishop in his direction.

Sometimes, being a destiny helper doesn't require doing something big. One simple act, one connection, or one introduction can change someone's life forever.

Ministry is not the place to carry the problems of people and lose your own faith.
Sometimes, the way people speak about their situations can be so heavy that it can challenge the faith of the person praying for them.

When people come into church broken, discouraged, confused, and overwhelmed, they should encounter someone who looks like the answer is possible.

Jesus demonstrated this.
Even when people were mourning and telling Him that Lazarus had died, Jesus continued to give them hope. He declared Himself as the resurrection and the life.

Don’t let the condition of the people drain the fire God put inside you.

Smile.
Give hope.
Speak faith.
Stand on the Word.
Point people back to God.
Because ministry is not merely about making people laugh, jump, or feel good for a moment.

People should return home knowing what to do.

They should leave with hope.
They should leave with direction.
They should leave with faith.
They should leave believing that God can still turn their situation around.
That’s ministry.

You don’t need to manufacture an atmosphere when you have God’s Word.

Speak it. Believe it. Stand on it.
Because when God speaks, His Word is enough.

I am grateful that this process has reached a conclusion, that I have been cleared to return to football and that I can now look ahead to my future.
