@Jordon3Jane@BBCWalesNews Merging all police forces in Scotland adds up to a very big centralization of power in the hands of current Scottish Executive ( ie SNP).
@NationCymru That act of vandalism will probably cost the local council about 10k to repair, but don't worry about it, it's an English speaking area so i am sure they are happy about spend the money.
Annoying greed : major Hotel chain asks me to make optional 4 pound charity donation on my booking. They just charged me well over 100 pounds a night. Outside London. Without breakfast. Could they not match the donation?
@NationCymru Gwynedd is already aiming for 100% Welsh Medium in their schools which hasn't boosted the language level locally or benefitted the local economy.
@deepwestwales@RhunapIorwerth PC dislike the M4 because it connects South Wales to England and doesn't serve any PC voting neighborhoods. I've never heard them talk about the A55 either (ok less traffic than the M4 but key for North Wales).
@AgitChevis I understand that the Tourist tax will be entirely paid by visitors, but for the business it's just another tax bill at the end of the month.
@AgitChevis It's reasonable for the hotels/BmBs/camp sites etc etc to object since they will have to do the paperwork and will see how much money in total they are paying in the various taxes.
@JeremyBrookman2@Plaid_Cymru@RhunapIorwerth The ratio of English to Over seas tourists is about 30:1, so unless they are spending 10 times more per head (and they are not),Wales is almost totally dependent on the English tourists. source https://t.co/15GMe1np7P
@JeremyBrookman2@Plaid_Cymru@RhunapIorwerth A fair comment, but most of the tourism will always be English, and the nationalists, at least in North Wales, want to make them feel very unwelcome.
