The prosecution cited that Mr Bim Kohli was racially abused during the attack, and yet the judge didnโt take this into account. As Chair of the OPCC Hate Crime Scrutiny Panel, it is important sentence must be uplifted in cases like this and I shall be raising this with local MPs.
@LiamJDean What a classy way to come out, it important that you own it. It can be nerve racking as you donโt know what the reaction will be, but when I did I was loved and I regret I didnโt come out earlier and most importantly stay true to yourself and be proud of who you are.
Tom Daley may well be off to the Paris Olympics, but he's been wonderfully recreated here at the heart of the Cosby Yarn Bomb.
Not only is he a sporting hero, but I found out that Tom is an avid knitter and crochet icon too!
Best of luck @TomDaley1994!๐ฅ๐ฌ๐ง

From Frolesworth, thank you to this hardworking and wonderful team of volunteers who care deeply about our community.
The only way to ensure the best future for South Leicestershire is to vote Conservative on July 4th. ๐ณ๏ธ

@WhoCulture@ELittlechild@DanTheMeegs Here is a theory as to why the Tardis is acting strange. Jodie Whittaker doctor threw a pocket watch into the heart of the tardis. Just maybe that caused Suketh to access the Tardis and somehow allowed him to access to other dimensions and time.
After a 48-hour shift (yes, those do exist!), I'm back out campaigning with @NeilDotObrien, @Rupert_Matthews and @SimonWhelband. Had some fantastic discussions with voters today!
๐ข Colin Pitchfork's Parole Hearing to be Public ๐ข
The Parole Board has agreed to my request to hold Colin Pitchfork's parole hearing in public. This rare decision means the hearing will be live-streamed to a courtroom in London.

Earlier this week, @APPGPlastics Chair @AlbertoCostaMP hosted the Groups EGM. It was great to see lots of MPs there to discuss #microplastics and microplastic pollution, as well as ways to reduce this.
Double child rapist and murderer Colin Pitchfork successfully challenged a decision to keep him locked up and will now face a fresh parole hearing.
@AlertoCostaMP who has been campaigning to keep Pitchfork behind bars, shares his reaction to this story.

Last week I caught up with Floods Minister @_RobbieMoore.
This evening I will be sitting down with him again to discuss the impact of the recent flooding in South Leicestershire and raise your concerns in more detail.
What questions would you like me to raise with the minister?
It's the final week of our consultation on health services in Lutterworth, have you completed the survey yet and shared your views?

๐ฃ๏ธThe South Leicestershire community stepped up throughout the flooding.
But what government support is available for the people of Blaby, Broughton Astley, Cosby, Croft, Stoney, Stanton, Sharnford and Whetstone?
My question in the House of Commons this evening.
Thank you to @CllrBenTaylor@CllrMikeShirley and all @BlabyDC for the work being done to help affected residents. Please do continue to contact my parliamentary team and we will relay to government.
Sharnford was hit particularly hard during the floods over the last week. @CllrMikeShirley and I visited businesses and residents in the area to see the impact and to help make sure the Council is doing everything it can to help.
Thank you to our MP @AlbertoCostaMP for his support and to the great work of Jack, Chair of Sharnford Parish for his continued work in the area, especially as the flood warden.
@BlabyDC has been helping residents with internal flooding and officers were out earlier this morning, knocking on doors to see what more we can do to help.
If you have been impacted or are looking for more information, please see our dedicated web page below. Alternatively call our Council offices on 0116 275 0555

โ ๏ธPlease stay safe out there and only go out if necessary given flooding in the South Leicestershire area.
Blaby District Council and Harborough District Council are working hard to provide sandbags to areas that need them.
