AI is making it easier than ever to create, distribute, and respond to information.
But here's the question I keep coming back to:
What if our problem isn't that we communicate too little, but that we communicate too much?
My PhD research examined hyper-communication in the workplace and found that communication overload, channel misalignment, and distraction can undermine productivity.
AI is about to make communication exponentially easier to produce.
That makes our ability to manage the noise more important, not less.
The next communication revolution won't just be about what AI can create.
It will be about what humans can realistically absorb.
