@SenateGOP I've voted Republican my whole life but Democrats are gaining a vote if these are the battle lines - literally our national sovereignty - that you insist on drawing.
After sitting with the news yesterday I think the feeling was not joy but rather relief. Slightly more defensible, maybe. Still not something I'm proud of.
I really try hard not to celebrate the loss of life in any context but Lindsey Graham was so thoroughly despicable in his love for war and death that I admit I am struggling today.
@TomCottonAR I don't think this existential alarmist messaging is going to work after the rugpull that was Trump 2.0. We bought into that and gave the GOP all levers of power and they did nothing, largely because we don't have national sovereignty. At least these candidates don't like Israel.
@MattWalshBlog The more fundamental battle is about national sovereignty. In that regard, seeing AIPAC candidates losing is good news. Obviously these people are awful; the democratic primary was never going to produce anything but that. But the more existential issue is trending positive.
@TheMilkBarTV@tedcruz Was it just his guest you were counting? Because he's a theologian. He sees the world in terms of religion, and he was talking about it in those terms.
@the_uglypatriot@FoxNews bro tells AI to give him some pro-MAGA rage bait and it works hook-line-sinker. This site and the internet more broadly are in some serious trouble
@TRHLofficial I want to believe this but we had stories just like this with Biden constantly. He was "privately fuming!" and all this nonsense. Never resulted in policy change.
@GovMikeHuckabee Wow, you're right. We really fleece Israel. I wonder why they're beyond ok with it then? Maybe because the trillions of dollars we spend in the Middle East on wars and maintaining military bases there is really aid for Israel but disguised?
@LinchZhang This is a great read. Not because it's credible at all, but because it spotlights the coming future where nobody believes anything is real, and because evidence can be so easily faked, no evidence is sufficient. In short, living circles around and becomes entirely faith-based.
@michaeljknowles You have precious few unbelievably dumb takes and incidentally they basically all involve you trying to suppress your own brain and instead tow the company line on Israel.
“To eliminate suffering entirely would mean, in the end, extinguishing love and desire as well. Those who love and desire cannot avoid passing through trial and suffering; and over the years, we carry within us lessons that leave their mark like scars, the memories of a journey shaped by freedom and failure, dreams and disappointments.
It is only thanks to the interplay of these elements that the wonders of the soul occur within us, allowing us to sense the richness of our humanity.
To renounce this adventure, both tragic and splendid, in the name of a presumed transcendence of all limits, could mean many things, but it would no longer be human.”
Pope Leo XIV, Magnifica Humanitas (par. 120) (May 15, 2026)
@reddit_lies I guess he was going for a reaction like, "Daggum I'm mad, I can't believe the 'leader of the democrats' would say something negative about Republicans on this wholesome, holiest of days. Oh wow. It was Trump? I love murdering/mutilating children and open borders now."
@foxnewspolitics This is the kind of thing that literally frays the union itself. That's why it's so essential, win or lose, to give Florida its forum on an issue like this. Thomas/Alito are right. As usual.
@breccastoll Amazing the power this guy thinks he wields lol. Still, he's talking to people about the problems they're experiencing. That beats "Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon" any day at the polls. Gotta wake up.
@SenRandPaul@club4growth I don't think you're actually in danger because unlike Massie you carve out the Israel exception for foreign aid. Not even intending it as a criticism (this time), just a matter of fact about where we're at.
@Bannons_WarRoom If he gets us to Mars then he is an immortalized figure and nonsense like DeSantis, H1Bs, Trump, Epstein, and whatever else - as important as they are to us in the here and now - will be such small potatoes. I would be embarrassed to talk about Elon this way. No perspective.
@OwenShroyer1776 This has been making the rounds but it is definitely fake. It was effectively a more honest paraphrase of their victory lap post, but they never actually said it. I'm not going to shed too many tears about it spreading though.
