@rpondiscio Since we opened our doors in Sept 2019 we have never allowed phones into our school. No phones for trips, for dances, for anything. They go in expensive photo cases at the door and go back out the same way at exit. It is hands down the single best decision we have ever made.

The picture is bleak for NYC schools. Kindergarten enrollment declined 18% in past 5 yrs. This smaller cohort will not incr until 9th gr when some private/charter kids come into our HSs.

Drops were uneven; Bx leads. In D10, 1000+ fewer kids are enrolling in kindergarten.
