I played a quick game of Donald Featherstone's rules for Close Wars. Deep in the forests of Venus, Reginald Cruffin tried to get a local tribe to trade with his expedition by showing them the strength of strength the Martini Henry rifle.
I played my first game of Dark Future in about 30 years. There is a bit of a write-up over on my blog. Head over there if you fancy a look.

Four Dark Future cars are ready for the raceways. They are not really rusty enough for Gaslands but I am happy with them. Most of the weapon hardpoints are magnetised, so I can easily swap out the weapons on each car.
@malcolmguite@canterburypress@TheRabbitRoom It deserves to be. I am really enjoying strolling around my apartment and reading it aloud. My wife, maybe not so much but I am sure she'll get used to it.
I have completed a fourth Gaslands team. I am not keeping this one, it is a gift for a friend, but I am definitely going to face it on the racetrack. I tried a few new things when doing these, the shattered front windscreen, and hand painting the roundels.
I am really excited to give this first part of a retelling of the Arthurian legends in ballad form a read. It may inspire some dark ages fantasy games.
A strike lance was sent to dislodge the rebel troops from an advanced position . I used Horizon Wars for the game, the rules are quick, fun and very intuitive.
I’ve managed to finish my second Gaslands team ready for a game tomorrow. Cutting it a bit close, but it’s ready to hit the table. If I am honest I have probably overhighlighted the black, so it more grey now, but it looks fine at arms length.
