What does an interdisciplinary and globally oriented university education look like in practice?
For Chen Jiaqi, a Communication Studies undergraduate, it has meant pursuing opportunities across cultures, disciplines and communities both within and beyond the classroom – made possible by the #NTUsg-University Scholars Programme (NTU-USP). From leadership programmes in Malaysia to studying abroad at @KingsCollegeLon, Jiaqi was continually exposed to diverse perspectives and experiences that further strengthened her interest in society, leadership and global issues.
“Through these experiences, I became much more curious and open to learning from people with very different backgrounds and experiences,” she reflects.
Stepping beyond her comfort zone also unlocked a newfound confidence. Back at NTU, Jiaqi pursued interests beyond academics, becoming a vocalist and keyboardist in the NTU-USP Band despite never imagining herself performing on stage before university.
By combining interdisciplinary learning with international exposure, NTU-USP empowers students not only to broaden their perspectives, but to discover new dimensions of themselves – equipping them to navigate an increasingly interconnected and complex world with confidence, curiosity and purpose.

Congratulations to Lip-Bu.

Frontier AI is no longer just about chatbots. In a Straits Times (@straits_times) commentary, #NTUsg Prof Lin William Cong says models like Anthropic’s Claude Mythos show why Singapore must prepare for AI-driven cyber risks to banking, digital payments and critical infrastructure, given its position as a major financial hub and regional base for global banks. https://t.co/TP1Z105K95

@NTUsg is my Alma Mater. One of the best universities in the world. I am proud to be pulled back there as distinguished university professor and serve as Vice President for Industry.
Yes, the push was there but the pulling is the key! 🗝️

🔙 We’ve heard 2016 is making a comeback… but not when it comes to chargers.
Remember the cable chaos? Thankfully, that’s now part of the past.
In 🇪🇺, USB-C is the single charger to power all your devices, regardless of the brand.
