Had fun @OpenComputePrj today. A year ago we showed Helios and now we’re ramping Helios in production. Today we introduced Helion, an open, flexible rack for agentic AI and showed “Verano” - our newest agentic CPU for the very first time. Scaling AI takes the right compute, open standards and deep collaboration. Thanks to OCP and all our amazing partners across the ecosystem.

<샌프란시스코에서 이어진 AI 연결>

지난 목요일 오전에는 한국에서 통신3사 CEO들과 AI 시대 대한민국의 네트워크 전략을 논의했습니다.

그리고 곧바로 샌프란시스코로 이동해 같은 날 오후 AMD Advancing AI 행사에서 AMD와 AI 반도체 생태계 협력을 위한 MOU를 체결하고, 리사 수(Lisa Su) CEO와 AI 반도체 협력 방안을 논의했습니다.

시차를 넘어 같은 목요일을 두 번 보냈지만, 제게는 하나의 일정처럼 이어졌습니다.

한국에서는 AI가 흐르는 길을 이야기했고, 샌프란시스코에서는 AI를 움직이는 엔진을 이야기했습니다. 결국 AI는 하나의 기술이 아니라 반도체와 데이터센터, 네트워크, 소프트웨어가 함께 움직이는 생태계입니다.

이번 MOU의 의미는 AMD와 AI 컴퓨팅 기술 협력을 확대하는 것은 물론, 국내 NPU 기업들이 AMD의 글로벌 AI 생태계에 참여할 수 있는 기반을 함께 만들기로 한 것입니다. 또한 모레, 망고부스트를 비롯한 국내 AI 기업들과의 협력도 확대하여 우리 소프트웨어와 시스템 기술이 글로벌 시장으로 진출할 수 있는 길을 넓혀가기로 했습니다.

AI 시대에는 어느 한 기업도, 어느 한 나라도 혼자서는 성공할 수 없다고 봅니다. 중요한 것은 글로벌 기술과 국내 기업을 연결하고, 그 연결이 새로운 산업과 성장으로 이어지는 AI 생태계를 만드는 것이라 생각합니다.

대한민국은 세계 최고 수준의 메모리 반도체 경쟁력을 갖고 있습니다. 이제는 여기에 국산 NPU와 AI 소프트웨어, 시스템 기술까지 연결해 AI 반도체 생태계를 선도하는 나라로 도약하고자 합니다. 정부는 글로벌 선도기업과의 협력이 국내 기업의 성장으로 이어지는 선순환 구조를 만들겠습니다.

지난 목요일 오전에는 네트워크를 연결했고,
오후에는 반도체를 연결했습니다. 다음 날 열린 샌프란시스코 AI 서밋에서는 세계와 대한민국 AI 기업이 한자리에 모��습니다.

이제 그 연결이 실제 기술 협력과 투자, 그리고 국내 기업의 성장으로 이어질 수 있도록 끝까지 챙기겠습니다.
