@CultivatedBooks Best? Couldn't tell you. My favorite is Grant by Chernow - which is largely a Civil War story told through the life of one of its most consequential figures. Chernow delivered the most sweeping portrait of Grant and Civil War America that I've ever read.

Yikes. Dad of four amazing kids here. We’ve done several cross country road trips together. 40+ states together. Spent a good chunk of last summer in Europe together. We take a week every year off the grid together in the High Sierras. All of the perks mentioned, none of the loneliness, and the memories of these experiences will outlive me. Christ and Family = the greatest life hack.

NEW: I spoke exclusively with the uncle of Bailee Rios, the woman accused in the deadly Chatsworth Metro bus crash.

He tells me she struggled with substance abuse and says the justice system gave her “too many chances.”

2 people were killed and at least 6 injured. Then, a Channel 4 news helicopter covering the crash went down, killing 3 more.

All in good fun! Oregon is a great program and you all have had USC’s number in recent years for sure, so we Trojans are enjoying today a little bit extra. Ugly loss today, but Ducks may turn it around and go 11-1 or 10-2. They’ve got the talent. Let’s yell at each other again on 9/26! 🤣

OK. But you would be the only Oregon fan in my mentions asking honestly, so I’ll bite.

As I said, BSU got blown out at home by a bad Fresno State team at the end of last season. And BSU returned 20 of 22 starters. So it’s the same team - and they nearly beat Oregon (in Eugene!) last week.

I replied to the OP who said “Oregon is better than they looked”, with those facts, and Oregon fans went nuclear on me.
