@katemildenhall @asauthors For sure. But you’ve got to start clarify what ‘marketing’ means. If we just mean getting to market, ie places to buy it, then publishers do a lot to make that happen. I think what authors are looking for is advertising to the public, which is limited and subject to fluctuation.
@katemildenhall @asauthors Also, there’s a difference between a marketing plan and a marketing spend. Most books have no spend, which sounds bad until you learn that advertising does SFA.
@katemildenhall @asauthors One reason you can’t find an answer is because it is a moving target, dependent on how the book is tracking. More success = more marketing.
