@jasonfried I’ve used this metaphor too. I also like how it speaks to an organizations maturity. When the tree is younger there’s always low hanging fruit, but with time it grows. The problem is people tend to approach their future problems through a past bias.

@lissijean Similar path: In 2015 the startup I cofounded got a series A investment from FIRA which is an accelerator backed by the Italian government. We hired an Italian Eng team and I lived in Montesilvano Abruzzo with my wife + 15m old daughter. It was a magical time.
@shreyas IMO roadmaps are not about when you’ll ship… that would be a “Gantt chart of lies.”Roadmaps are what bets you’re making and what tactics your teams are going to try. The time element is more about what you will try 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
