@tymetwx As an operational meteorologist, I use little to no math. As a consulting meteorologist, I’ve used everything from basic algebra, all the way through partial differential equations, depending on what I’m doing.

@BadWeatherTake You can be a great forecaster and not have a degree. However, don’t forget, meteorology is much more than just forecasting and there may be other areas of meteorology where a degree is absolutely required.
@Ian42244774 @tfortier_wx Here’s the thing. A meteorology degree isn’t a degree in forecasting, but learning the physics behind the atmosphere. If you’re a forecaster, you’ll probably never solve a differential equation after college. However, I do use math outside of my regular job in my consulting work.
