While assuring Unity in the Opposition @PLPartyKenya PL and Presidential candidate, Hon.@MarthaKarua calls for transparency as Kenyans closely scrutinize the support for the Finance Bill, while also voicing her dissent on the Rigathi Gachagua impeachment ruling.

Today at Luzira Prison, I and members of Dr. Kizza Besigye's legal team were denied access of electronic devices needed to review evidence, despite a court order permitting the facilities necessary to prepare his defence.
Although we were able to meet with Dr. Besigye and Hajj Obeid Lutale, we were prevented from carrying out the very purpose of our visit: reviewing and analysing the prosecution's evidence with the aid of the electronic equipment required for that exercise.
A fair trial depends on more than court appearance, it requires that lawyers have the time, access, and tools needed to properly examine evidence and represent their clients.
When court orders are disregarded, the rule of law itself is put to the test.
This matters beyond Uganda. Across East Africa, we aspire to build societies founded on justice, accountable governance, and respect for human rights.
Those aspirations mean little if due process can be undermined.
Justice must remain bigger than our politics and borders.
BANGING TABLES FOR JUSTICE.
🗓️ Kampala, Uganda – 11 June 2026
We, at PLP, proudly celebrate a significant step towards justice in the ongoing treason trial of Dr. @kizzabesigye1. The High Court has agreed to set a date for his human rights enforcement application on June 30, following the unwavering commitment of the defence team and the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF).
Today, Justice Emmanuel Baguma presided over a pivotal moment, issuing production warrants for Dr. Besigye and Hajji Obeid Lutale after their courageous boycott of the trial’s commencement. The defence steadfast legal team, led by our indomitable Party Leader, Hon. @MarthaKarua, and supported by one @EriasLukwago_ and others, have showcased the power of determined advocacy.
This case is more than just a trial; it is a litmus test for the integrity of our democracy and the rule of law not only in Uganda, but also in the entire @jumuiya and Africa. We firmly believe that no individual, especially those opposing the status quo, should face indefinite detention or sham trials without the crucial elements of justice.
We must continue to raise our voices. Advocacy must be unapologetic and assertive when facing injustice. Let us all stand in solidarity, demanding transparency, a fair trial, and the protection of civil liberties for all.
To our steadfast supporters: Let’s remain vigilant and continue the fight for justice for all. Together, we are champions for liberty, and we will not back down. The liberation continues. Change is coming, together.

If Ebola is considered too dangerous for Americans, why should Kenyans accept that risk?
Why is Ruto making decisions that affect the health and safety of millions of Kenyans as if he’s running his own Sugoi farm?
Major decisions must follow due process, involve public participation, and be subjected to parliamentary oversight.
Wenye nchi must never be treated as an afterthought in decisions that directly affect their lives.
@SpiceFMKE
Early revelations on the Finance Bill 2026 confirm once again, it is not in the interest of wenye nchi.
Join me tomorrow on Spice FM from 7am as we break down why this Bill is resurrecting taxes and powers that hurt young digital entrepreneurs, small businesses, and everyday Kenyans already struggling to survive.
Most importantly, what must we demand before this becomes law?
The Law Society of Kenya expresses its deep consternation following reports of the sudden and deeply suspicious death of 24 year old Brian Njung'e, a student at Kiambu National Polytechnic, while under detention at Kiambu Police Station. When a citizen is arrested, the State assumes a strict, non-delegable constitutional custodial duty of care over their life and physical integrity. A police cell must never become a place of unexplained fatality.
The circumstances presently being reported, including the family allegedly being denied access to him shortly before news of his death emerged, make it imperative that there be full accountability and public disclosure of the facts.
The @LawSocietyofKe is actively reaching out to Brian's family to offer comprehensive legal support and ensure a mandatory public inquest is conducted. We will not permit the normalization of custodial deaths or the evasion of administrative accountability.
This if approved would be recklessness @WilliamsRuto your oath of office demands that you be at the forefront of protecting Kenya and its citizens. Do not surrender our sovereignty , or abandon your constitutional duty to act in the best interests of Kenyans #KenyaFirstPolicyNow

I can only imagine the dread a parent feels receiving news that the child they sent to school has been caught up in tragedy.
To the students of Utumishi Girls Academy, your families, your teachers, and the first responders on the ground my heart-felt prayers are with you in this difficult moment.
May God protect every child and comfort every family facing fear and uncertainty today.
