@newbiedm Buy any former _Dragon_ editor a beer, then innocently ask, “Did you ever get any weird letters to the editor?” Brace yourself; the stuff they’d routinely get was UNHINGED.
@DanielPeveto @JeremiahOshan I’m a season ticket holder, so I’m good for home games. I mostly care about watching away games at a bar.
Many otherwise sports-friendly bars don’t have Apple, period. More than once I’ve literally relied on the assistant manager’s personal Apple subscription to watch the game.
@warhammer Hi @Warhammer! I’m your ideal customer — a Warhammer+ subscriber and a guy who pre-ordered Codex: Tyranids.
…and yet I’m locked out for two days.
That is profoundly bad scheduling on your part. If we’re going to rely on the app, we need to _rely_ on the app.
@LeslieCourtne14 @erikscottdebie @newbiedm I get that… but I think “the real money is in the core game product” holds true for 40K, D&D, and MtG. I wonder whether the two companies are in analogous positions, but looking at each other and saying, “the other guy is crazy for publishing/not publishing tons of fiction.”
@NerdBurgerCraig I dunno why. It’s curious to me that Games Workshop behaves the same way in the minis space.
Both companies used to run lots of content for games they didn’t own in their periodicals, for example. No more.
@blizzard318 I don't have an actual copy, but the cover image on Amazon lists Chris Sims, Mike Mearls, and Rob Schwalb.
I think it released after I left Wizards. Maybe I was scheduled to work on it at some point, and that info wound up getting passed from database to database.
@AtomicOvermind Super dumb question, but how often do you have to sharpen it? And do you just do it with a stone like it’s a kitchen knife?
(I’ve used them only in schools/offices where that was Someone Else’s Problem.)
