$ENVX CFO Farhan Ahmad is departing to become CFO of Intel's Client Computing Group.
It's surprising the stock isn’t down more—CFO exits like this are uncommon for companies firing on all cylinders, scaling production, and securing customers.
Does this mean $ENVX will fail? No, and I remain optimistic about their potential. However, it’s a clear signal to reassess the risk/reward, considering the current valuation, pre-revenue stage, and potential for delays that could necessitate more capital.
Best of luck to everyone!
The original NY Times headline reads: “Violence Tied to Soccer Game….” There is no mention of the unprecedented nature of the event—a pogrom in the 21st century. No mention of its motive: antisemitism. No mention of its victims: Jews and Israelis. No mention of the response it necessitated: an emergency rescue operation by the Israeli government.
The hollowness of the headline tells its own story about a deeper desensitization of the modern world to Jew hatred even when the hate metastasizes into violence.
Great $ENVX report from Cantor. Some highlights:
✨EV program (capital-light, licensing -based model) expected to complete its first milestone in 4Q24. $ENVX developing custom cells for two of the largest auto OEMs
✨Believe the new smartphone customer is either Oppo or Xiaomi and the existing smartphone customer is Samsung
✨Estimate Gen2 HVM Autoline November SAT
✨Hoping for platform qual from Samsung in 2Q25. After that maybe $ENVX strikes a licensing deal with Samsung
✨HVM line beginning commercial shipments in 2025, and expect $ENVX to release its plan to scale up operations in Penang (possible roll out of 12 lines)
@FakeSkymiles Hopefully these companies use the capital markets to raise money to get a superior return to drive shareholder value.
Or maybe they are in cahoots and know I am a shareholder of all of them... 🤦♂️
I was surprised by the $CWH offering but the thesis in $CWH has always been that during tough times the company gains market share and gobbles up the competition.
Hopeful this offering is the first step in that process.
I am just as shocked as others on here about $ENVX's equity offering. I didn't like the timing and communication around it either -- earnings, customer announcement, "runway into 2026," etc.
However, a major concern has always been that $ENVX will have to raise money and now they have. So if the business continues to hit operational and customer milestones will it matter if they dilute 5%, probably not.
Now there is a question around optics and trusting mgmt. Mgmt has not been a seller and Raj even cancelled his 10b5 plan (whether convinced or otherwise).
With mgmt aligned, I believe the company decided to take the liquidity and runway risk off the table to attract a new class of institutional investors and reassure customers that $ENVX is around for the long-term.
Let's see what kind of leverage Marcus and team $BYON have with $TCS.
