.@NewYorker staffers are preparing for a strike and their requests to writers and contributors, if honored, would make for a nightmare of magazine production. Among other asks, "Do not submit edits to forthcoming stories."
@fanCRTCProfling@athompso99 Have you tried CCTS? Its mandate is to resolve contract disputes when the customer can’t get the provider to honour an agreement. In fact, as I understand it, the CRTC has delegated CCTS to handle those complaints on its behalf.
@fanCRTCProfling@athompso99 So I guess it’s a significant amount of money for you, over time, but not enough to justify a fight on your own. Legit or not, it seems morally wrong to change a contract unilaterally except if required by a change in law.
@shruti_shekar@CanadianPress I admired how @shruti_shekar did that interview. It asked tough questions but allowed Ian Scott to answer. It dealt with incoming questions from the virtual audience. It recognized many people who are passionate about telecom don’t follow the CRTC’s every move.
Thanks to the bright lights at @metromorning for this enlightening exchange: (Host): Is virus protection from two-dose vaccines more like an on-off light switch or more like a dimmer switch? (Expert guest): Great analogy! It’s more on-off.
@alexposadzki@SkiingBlock @fanCRTCprofilng I can only guess what goes through the premier’s mind while he considers what the province should do about alcohol sales during the COVID lockdowns. I am no fan of either politician but won’t judge them. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
@alexposadzki@SkiingBlock @fanCRTCprofilng The current premier also has my sympathy because at about the same time his younger brother, the major at the time, had one or more addictions that became public in a horrific way. The mayor also died too young.
