Preventing fraud is much easier than tracking it down. Everywhere there is known fraud, actual fraud is much higher.

Confidence in elections is paramount - in any society that has them. Makes zero sense not to pursue election integrity.

@arvindpawan1 There are laws against predatory lending? Should we scrap all of those? Everyone needs to better understand the cost of degrees and the benefit of them - including whether person can reasonably pay off that debt. Colleges need to find ways to make it more affordable.

@PatGarofalo Per Grok. Think about the advantages of reducing cost of transit by 80%. Imagine low income people not needing to afford a car or take a slow bus route with many stops - able to commute to work or healthcare safe, quick & cheap. But then you can’t have transportation fraud.
