@kat_murabito_D I must admit I am very jealous of still having gas stoves as the default (afaik), so much nicer than wimpy unreliable electric stoves back home imo - but I will be returning to England with a newfound appreciation for my kitchen (and especially garden!!!!)

His ex gf just moved out and took like all the kitchen stuff since she did all the cooking. Even then, was absolutely shocked by how basic the kitchen in his 3LDK was. No oven!!! Wtf

I just ate like a fuckin pig in Ueno so I don't have to eat again for the rest of the day. It cost me like ¥2000. A decent single dish from a 定食 chain is like ¥1200.

@karma_is_a_kat @revenant_MMXX Also incredibly lower costs of living compared to Europe. My mate in Nagoya gets 3LDK for like £400 a month!!! With two parking spots! Like 20 mins from Sakae! And petrol is like 40% cheaper! There really is no need to be so self flagellating. People are allowed to be jealous.
