@IsenbargerMolly Maps! On our local news last night there was a bit on GPS and how vulnerable we are if it goes down. Maps, and the ability to use them is a needed skill. Got a whole bunch in my truck too.
@CBKimbrell What manufacturing base? The huge multinational companies with Wall Street running them or the local factories owned by local peeps who live in the community and do good things?? Iโm the later. Iโm fine w/o the tariffs, actually better w/o them.
@brim006 Just heard that exact message from all the big steel service centers at the annual FMA conference last week. Past 4wks HR coil up $7/cwt-20% to $42cwt. Expect $50-60 by summer. And with tariff action it will get worse. Not my words!
@brim006 We are buying 75-250,000 pounds a week depending on work. Flat carbon product is easy to get. Domestic AL and CU is much harder to find. Only reason it might be hard to get is because mills backed off prod due to soft domestic demand
@ozskier Places I ski will never charge park fees, some let vans overnight free too. Maybe not all the resort โamenitiesโ but awesome terrain and peeps go to ski, not show off their jackets. $$ roll up to employees and local owners, not Wall Street
@BugStewart@cowbroker How are gardens not cost effective? The only fertilizer I use is compost, the only insect control is the birds that eat them. The only input cost in my garden is seed and my โlaborโ which is a zero$ cost because I enjoy being out there.
