@Aaron_Derfel Why do you always cherry pick bad COVID news? Cases have already started to go back down in a bunch of European countries. This kind of alarmism makes people care even less.
@Aaron_Derfel Also: “Antibodies in the blood of people who'd recently had Omicron also seemed to have some protection against BA.2, especially if they'd also been vaccinated”. A lot of people have just had Omicron…
@Aaron_Derfel Why aren’t you also mentioning that real world data shows “A booster shot restores protection, making illness after infection about 74% less likely” according to cnn report today on BA2.
@nadine_bonnett @Aaron_Derfel It’s called get vaccinated and wear a mask around vulnerable people. We can’t keep having shutdowns that ruin peoples small businesses, however.
@Aaron_Derfel Have you thought that there’s also a huge amount of vaccinated people who don’t agree with the convoy but who also want an end to COVID restrictions?? Maybe the government is listening to them? 🤷
@Aaron_Derfel A lot of these deaths are with COVID not specifically because of COVID. Several doctors I’ve talked to say most COVID deaths were people who were close to death already.
@Aaron_Derfel Yes because COVID isn’t going away. We need to each manage our own risk. Personally im healthy and triple vaxxed and back to normal life. I Will wear a n95 mask or avoid contact with someone who is vulnerable but life needs to go back to normal despite COVID.
@Aaron_Derfel We need to end restrictions now we can’t close peoples businesses forever. Do you agree that’s not sustainable?I’m triple vaxxed but we need to stop living like it’s 2020 when the rest of the world has adapted to living with the virus.
@Aaron_Derfel@aaronrand @natashaCJAD Interesting talk. I have to say I agree with Josh there has to be a middle ground between Florida and the overly heavy handed way Quebec is handling it. Europe is learning to live with it without many restrictions.
