Arrest the prosecutor.

BREAKING - Soros-backed prosecutor in Texas, Travis County DA Jose Garza, has allowed Richard Leigh Bell, indicted on nine felony counts of sexual battery of a child, to avoid jail, giving him a plea deal of five years’ simple probation.

[Austin Justice @AustinJustice]

AUSTIN MAN — on three active probations for violent felonies — was just arrested for carrying a gun after probation for two aggravated assaults with firearm.

Since 2021:
• 2 aggravated assaults w/ firearm — no convictions, deferred both times
• 3 evading arrests in vehicles
• Organized theft ($2,500–$30k), burglary, drugs, thefts
 Multiple probation violations
• Theft & fleeing in Wilco — both dismissed

4 years. Multiple counties. Felonies reduced or tossed.
Now another gun case — still no felony conviction for violence.

Now, age 20, he’s booked on 5 charges — the gun case plus three separate motions to revoke felony probations. Bond set at $60K, for now.

Why in the world is Jimmy Flannigan still making 6 figures on a part time city job?

One of the most corrupt things in the history of this city and STILL the Council won’t act.

AUSTIN, TX — Mexican national Cristian Avila-Solis was charged with a 2022 murder for a South Austin LA Fitness shooting.

Tracked for 20 months, deported from Mexico—only to get a 7-year plea deal from DA Garza for “tampering w/evidence.”

He was the third murder suspect. The first two: 5 years & 2 years (w/ credit for time served).

Casings everywhere. Two guns in the car. One suspect caught hiding in a treehouse (sounds a bit guilty).

To summarize: law enforcement does years of work, resulting in 3 murder charges. But no trials result. Instead, Austin DA cuts 3 plea deals.

The literal face of Defund the Police in the Capitol, Kathy Mitchell, who is associated with Equity Action, Austin Justice Coalition, Just Liberty etc had this to say today. What a surprise. A suspect who was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Deadly Conduct, and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, had all of those charges dismissed - now he’s been arrested for murdering someone in a road rage incident.

The District and County attorneys here in Austin have more blood on their hands than any other prosecutor in Texas.

AUSTIN WOMAN walks free after DA Garza rejected a murder charge for killing her 6-week-old baby.

In Nov, Jacqueline Mendoza-Ramirez took her infant to Dell Children’s. Doctors found severe trauma injuries. Police arrested her for capital murder.

Today, DA Garza rejected the case, “pending further investigation.”

“What I'm seeing is not a problem with the statutes,” she said. “It is a problem with the office that is supposed to be enforcing the law.”

BREAKING: Progressive State Sen. Eckhardt expresses "grave concern" over fellow Democrat DA Garza: Says "mounting evidence that our district attorney is not vigorously prosecuting cases" as murder suspects walk free on $1-$100 bonds.

This is a big deal.

BREAKING: State Sen. Sarah Eckhardt has issued an unusal rebuke to another member of her party -- Travis DA Jose Garza -- saying she has 'grave concerns' about the operations of his agency: https://t.co/v9zzqmGMCs

Austin DA let a murderer walk free on $200 bond because he failed to meet a deadline.

What's next for murderer? Likely more crime. Every criminal in Austin knows there are no consequences for violating bond conditions:

[Bridget Grumet @bgrumet]

"Several judges told the @statesman that since [DA Jose] Garza’s administration began in 2021, attorneys have more frequently sought their clients’ release after prosecutors failed to indict within three months." Important reporting from @tplohetski:

NEW: Travis County prosecutors have twice in 10 weeks missed crucial deadlines to indict murder suspects, leading to their release on dramatically reduced bonds. One case sparked a weekend social media furor.
The other was not known until now.

Murderer has had 40 cases here in Travis County. Since 2020 alone:

- Possession of controlled substance: County Attorney declined to prosecute
- Possession of methamphetamine: declined to prosecute
- Possession of methamphetamine: Agreed to drug treatment, DA dismissed.
- Evaded in motor vehicle from APD: 6months in jail.
- False report to peace officer: CA declined to prosecute.
- Second DWI: CA Dismissed
- DWI/Obstructing a highway: 10days in jail
- Aggravated Robbery: pending

This guy committed Austin’s 62nd homicide. A known drug user who runs from officers, lies to them, and has a history of driving while intoxicated. Yet our prosecutors decided he kept needing additional chances - now a woman is dead. Each homicide committed by a repeat offender is at the hands of soft on crime policy. Maybe it’s time Delia and Jose start taking their job seriously.
