In a sane world, governments exist to improve the lives of people (at a minimum). The worst incidents of my life all stem from the provincial and federal governments repeatedly punishing me financially for being successful in ways that make you feel trapped in a Kafkaesque prison of despair. I realize that many Canadians benefit from the system, and hence will exhibit zero empathy but in a just world, this reality should not be tolerated. It can't be that a government owns 65%+ of all of your worth once all taxes are added up. Send me good vibes. Going through a very difficult time.

It’s neither a surprise nor a diplomatic breakthrough that G7 countries want our oil and gas. They’ve been begging for it for years.

The problem is Liberal laws that are still in place effectively block us from getting it out of the ground and off to those countries.

It doesn’t take another fake agreement abroad. It requires that we scrap Liberal laws, permit big energy projects fast, and end the industrial carbon tax here at home.

Mark Carney's trade policies are so DISASTROUS that they're catching the attention of the Japanese.

The Japan Times published an article on Tuesday noting that "Mark Carney’s trade push collides with reality."

Not only is he FAILING in his negotiations with the United States, but he's FAILING to find new trade partners from around the world.

How bad is the situation?

According to The Japan Times, "Canadian officials acknowledge that the main draw for many potential trading partners is the prospect of gaining tariff-free access to the world’s largest market through Canada’s participation in ‌the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade ‌agreement."

In other words, the only reason many of these countries wanted to trade with us in the first place is because it would give them backdoor access to American markets.

If Mark Carney can't secure that American market, then these other countries are simply not interested.

But the report gets even worse.

Acknowledging that Japanese companies own 75% of Canada's auto producers, the report further states that "for many of the Japanese companies investing here, one of the reasons for their investment is definitely the special access Canada has enjoyed ​over the long years."

If we can't maintain access to the American market, then the Japanese companies won't see a as much of a reason to produce autos here.
