@CatiaKyen@BethAdewunmi Everyone who received monies from that account is culpable to their crimes. What do you mean you were so hungry you decided to beg a kidnapper/ terrorist for money?
I’m not the only one who witnessed that massive giveaway Bandits hosted on TikTok. The desperation from Nigerians especially the girls, was honestly shocking.
Account numbers (mostly OPay and MoniePoint) were flying across the screen non-stop during his live stream between 12:00 AM and 1:00 AM two nights ago.
The Fulani host ended up dishing out over ₦50 million, and the way people were shamelessly begging their so-called oppressors for money left me speechless.
Thousands were tuned in, glued to the live.
How did we, as a country, sink to this level? It’s genuinely heartbreaking.💔
BREAKING: President Tinubu has approved five evacuation flights for over 500 Nigerians living in South Africa who have been screened and cleared for evacuation due to xenophobic attacks.
The evacuation flights will be operated by Air Peace, and the first flight, which will airlift about 270 passengers, is expected to leave Johannesburg on Wednesday.
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, confirmed the approval in a statement released yesterday.
The evacuation follows recent protests in South Africa targeting foreign nationals from African countries, during which shops owned by Nigerians were attacked, while others have been killed in a series of attacks against foreign nationals.
Additionally, Nigeria's mission in Pretoria has also announced that screening of Nigerian nationals that have indicated interest to be evacuated back home has been extended to Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
You can tell Theo Abu Agada drafted that NDC statement. Direct, unapologetic, and straight to the point.
No ambiguity. No fence-sitting. Just saying it exactly as it is.
Top lad, Theo.
We told you they were safe. Now here is the full story of how it happened.
On 3rd June 2026, at 7:30AM, Mrs. Adegoke Olaide Busayo, 42, was driving her 11-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, to school on Elewura Street, Off Ring Road, Ibadan.
Four armed suspects in an unregistered ash-coloured Toyota Corolla had been conducting surveillance for several weeks.
The suspects documented her vehicles, her children's school, daily routine, and lifestyle as part of a calculated surveillance operation that began in May 2026. The gang even attempted to recruit an insider from her household. This was a targeted operation.
Upon receiving the distress report, Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc (+), NPM, ordered an immediate, coordinated manhunt. FID-IRT and the Oyo State Police Command responded without delay.
The investigation advanced with the arrest of Wale Abolalewa, also known as "Oloro," who was already on the Command's watchlist. His apprehension led to the arrest of Dare Oyedele, alias "Solution," a key member of the syndicate. Intelligence from both suspects directed operatives to a hideout in Lado Community, Ayegun, Ibadan.
On 6th June 2026 at 7:30PM, exactly 84 hours after the abduction, operatives raided the hideout.
"Kelechi," a lookout who traveled from Lagos for the operation, opened fire on the operatives and was neutralized, along with another unidentified gang member.
Mrs. Adegoke and her sons, Peter and Paul, were rescued unharmed and reunited with their family.
Arrested: Wale Abolalewa ("Oloro"), Dare Oyedele ("Solution"), Semiu Ishola, 39, hideout facilitator, and Adeyemi Ayobami, 35, hideout facilitator.
Recovered: Three pump-action guns, fourteen live cartridges, one Toyota Corolla used in the abduction, a battle axe, a hammer, criminal charms, face masks, and substances suspected to be hard drugs.
Fleeing suspects, believed to have sustained gunshot injuries, are being actively pursued. Medical practitioners and hospital operators are urged to report anyone presenting with suspicious gunshot injuries immediately.
Confidentiality is guaranteed.
The IGP’s message to all kidnapping syndicates in Nigeria is clear: We will locate your hideouts, apprehend your lookouts, and ensure victims return home safely every time.

ANOTHER SELF-KIDNAPPED BUSTED
“Nigerians, please forgive me, I made a video a few days ago asking for a donation of #50 Millon that my biological mother was kidnapped, and we needed money to help rescue her, and you all did.
Unfortunately, the Nigerian Police have started their investigations, and they discovered my mother was not kidnapped, but she was with her boyfriend, and she was part of the people who staged her own kidnapping just to extort money from the General public.
I am deeply sorry and sad. I don't know anything about this plan; I only cried out as a daughter who doesn't want her mum to be killed.
Please forgive me, and I promised to keep you guys updated as things go forward”
~ From a lady who cried out a few days ago, begging Nigerians to contribute to her mother.
Nigerian security forces have rescued about 360 people who were abducted by Boko Haram fighters.
The statement says many of the abductees had been kidnapped from various communities across Borno State.
Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris reports from Nigeria's capital Abuja.
Why’s Charles Ebuebu of the Nigerian broadcasting commission allowing so much impunity and gross misconduct in the broadcasting space during his tenure.
From radio to Tv, we can’t bank on any of these platform to get unbiased credible news. What has he achieved so far in this capacity? It’s been 2 years since his appointment. If he can’t clean up that space. He needs to take a bow now.
