I am very disappointed with my recent purchase of the MXR Eddie Van Halen Pedalboard Bundle from Sweetwater for $1,863.50. Order total $1991.20.
The order arrived in two shipments under order numbers L2156155239 and L2155565791. I received the rack yesterday and the effects pedals today. Unfortunately, the shipment is incomplete. I am missing the EVH Flanger, the MXR DC Brick power supply, all necessary cabling, and the adhesive attachments and mounting hardware needed to properly secure the wiring underneath the rack.
In addition, one of the pieces arrived broken (see attached video). Because the power supply and cabling were not included, I cannot even power on or use any of the equipment. At this price point, receiving only a partial order with damaged items is extremely frustrating. It also appears possible that this may have been a returned or previously opened bundle.
Additionally, Sweetwater created multiple accounts for my purchase, and I am currently struggling to have these orders combined under my original account. I’m hopeful this will be resolved quickly as well.
I called Sweetwater customer service today to report the issue and was issued Ticket No.: 12687909. While the team is very friendly and helpful when placing an order, I felt they were quite eager to end the call once I explained the problem. It took significant effort to obtain this case number.
I have been a believer in Sweetwater’s reputation for excellent service, so this experience has been particularly surprising and disheartening. I’m hopeful that someone will reach out promptly next week to resolve the missing items, replace the broken piece, combine the accounts/orders, and allow me to finally enjoy the bundle I paid for.
What makes this even more disheartening is that I’m currently undergoing chemotherapy and fighting for my life against cancer. I was really hoping to have these items before my next hospital session, as they would have given me something positive to focus on instead of the pain and struggle of treatment. This whole situation just breaks my heart.
