🇭🇺 In Ungarn weht seit dem Regierungswechsel im Mai ein völlig neuer Wind. Der neue Ministerpräsident Péter Magyar bricht radikal mit der alten Linie zu Ruzzland und positioniert das Land komplett neu.

Man muss sich fragen, was eigentlich in den Köpfen all derer vorgeht, die sich als "Putin-Versteher" oder scheinheilige "Friedensverhandler" aufspielen. Die hatten so viel Hoffnung darauf gesetzt, dass Ungarn unter alter Führung weiterhin gegen Europa schießt, Sand im Getriebe der EU bleibt und die Ukraine im Stich lässt. Genau diese Rechnung ist krachend gescheitert. Es ist absolut still geworden um diese Leute, seit sich das Blatt in Budapest gewendet hat.

Magyars emotionalen und direkten Worte aus Warschau, die zeigen, wie europäische Solidarität aussieht:

"Wir müssen eines ganz klarstellen: Die Europäische Union besteht aus souveränen Staaten. Und wir müssen auch unmissverständlich sagen, wer in diesem Konflikt der Angreifer und wer das Opfer ist. Die Ukraine wurde angegriffen. Die Ukraine ist das Opfer. Und als souveräner Staat hat sie jedes Recht auf dieser Welt, ihre Heimat, ihre Freiheit und ihre Grenzen mit allen Mitteln zu verteidigen.
Vergessen wir nicht das Budapester Memorandum von 1994. Damals wurden der Ukraine Sicherheitsgarantien gegeben – auch von Ruzzland –, weil das Land im Gegenzug auf seine Atomwaffen verzichtet hat. Bis 2014 wurde das auch respektiert. Aber heute kämpft die Ukraine eben nicht mehr nur für ihre eigene Freiheit, sondern am Ende für die Stabilität und Sicherheit von uns allen in Europa.
Gleichzeitig sehen wir das unvorstellbare menschliche Leid. Auf der ruzzischen Seite haben Schätzungen zufolge vielleicht schon eine Million Menschen ihr Leben verloren oder wurden schwer verletzt. Auf ukrainischer Seite sind es Hunderttausende, darunter unzählige Frauen und unschuldige Kinder.
Deshalb wollen wir alle so schnell wie möglich einen Waffenstillstand. Wir wollen Frieden. Aber dieser Frieden darf kein fauler Kompromiss sein – er muss von der internationalen Gemeinschaft echt, bombenfest und dauerhaft garantiert werden."

A young Iranian guy just crossed from Iran into Turkey and recorded a message for the world.

He says people outside Iran have no idea how bad it really is.

Not arrests. Not beatings. Killings.

He says protesters are being shot straight in the chest. Not warning shots. Not accidents. Deliberate.

Over and over.

According to him, the death toll people see online is nowhere close to reality. Bodies disappear.

Families stay quiet. Fear fills the gaps.

People inside can’t speak. People outside aren’t seeing it.

That silence is doing a lot of work right now.
