@paulg The mix of companies in the 500 was not consistent over the decades. Could perhaps reflect the change in composition from manufacturing to tech companies, the latter known to make greater revenue per employee.

@Mark_Mulligan I reckon both groups are consumers. However, just different “intensity” when it comes to fandom. Otherwise, if we keep the same business model (ie, subscription) but shift the format from music to video, then video subscribers are only fans when they buy something physical.
