@Cecilia_Nasmith@AmitAryaMD And getting rid of the penny was an absolute fiscally responsible action, considering the penny would cost 1.6 cents to produce…almost double it’s worth.
The conservatives have the worst financial record of all parties. They have yet to outline how they would improve on the current Liberal gov’t positive results. So far they are not giving me a reason to consider voting Tory.
CUTS to #Healthcare under @fordnation: 2018 $97 mill for hospital beds, 2019: $1 Billion to TorPublicHealth and cut $330 million for Mental Health. During a PANDEMIC!!

@junie_02@Teachers__Unite Your union has been weak in bargaining. Time for teachers to defend public education and bargain for improved working and learning conditions, increased resources, more EAs, smaller classes action on disruptive & violent students and respect from school administration.
Ontario cut hospital spending in its April budget by $120 million, despite an aging, growing population and a pandemic. Mr. Ford undermines the public hospital system & uses its weakened state to justify private delivery. We need a strong federal ally for public delivery.
CATARACT Story: after rejecting the 'up-sell' of $4-7000 she is told she can go with OHIP for $2200.00 and will have to wait up to 6 months. #Healthcare under @fordnation How is this accessible?
@CarolynB_Global This is meaningless unless you add some explanation so I can decide if I agree. Given the alternative to Trudeau, I don’t there is any alternative. The Tories have yet to offer any intelligent argument to get my support. Voters are waiting….????
@24250Mickie @Sflecce Do teachers care enough to demand improvements at the bargaining table and to hold this government accountable through collective bargaining process?
Or ….
Will teachers take the easy road, avoid a prolonged strike by settling without achieving significant improvements?
The majority rules. Teachers haven’t been educated about collective bargaining, their rights & responsibilities & the need for commitment. solidarity. Teachers ask meekly for crumbs instead of engaging in bargaining. Mobilizing members no longer seems to be a union priority.
@davidwildman5 Double majorities necessary for ratification sounds great in theory, but my local voted NO to the 2013 agreement that resulted from Bill 115. Our voices, our votes, weren't acknowledged.
@CheriDiNovo@fordnation That is the plan. Ford knows many people will accept for profit health care, if non profit health care isn’t providing timely care. Underfunding health care, created hallway medicine problems. Now COVID is helping his privatization plan. The worse it is, the better for Ford!
I find it amusing that conservatives in Canada claim we live in a dictatorship while their conservative counterparts south of the border have taken away a woman's right to choose, plan on putting checkpoints at borders to stop pregnant women from leaving and are banning books.
It absolutely blows my mind that oil & gas corporations can report profits of $1 billion/week with their CEO's receiving over $20 million plus cash bonuses and stock options, and all the other executives being rewarded similarly - and the issue is the 'CarbonTax'
