Always curious. Nearly done writing a short, practical book on patience for busy parents, to scratch my own itch & exploring how to be a better dad @Being_Dads.
@BrentBeshore Hi Brett, do you mind asking your audience what parents with kids in their 20s would go back and change when their kids were 15?
I've tried asking but am not getting much pick up. π
No probs if not though.
@radicalreporter@BrentBeshore Ffs, I may as well be 90 given the cock ups on this tweet. As I was saying...
My kids are no longer what I'd call young. Brent's tweet sparked an idea, that I wish I'd known when my kids were young, so wanted to share.
@nickducoff@BrentBeshore Their innocence, purity, uninhibited expressions of emotions (no-one is that happy to see you mid week after work than your toddler), imagination, cuteness are a few
@johnnmayyy @BrentBeshore So much this. Especially 'grieving'. I love having a teen and tween. But it is different. Still wouldn't change it for the world.
You three do great work on inequality, might be worth talking:
@garyseconomics on the economics - its impact and what's coming
@danariely on what it's doing societally, culturally and so politically
@lokiscottishrap on the human impact that the middle classes will soon feel
@dieworkwear have just found your threads, the virtual kind. If you're willing, please can you tell me what's the crease called down the front of suit trousers and, while it might be sacrilegious to get rid of it, is it possible in a wool suit? π
Would just like to congratulate @RishiSunak personally for single handedly getting inflation to below 10%, just like he pledged 4 months ago. Man of his word.
xx

@carlafrancome Great share. The inside left of a lorry is a death trap, when you're sat on a bike behind one of those because the lights have been red for a while and a cyclist goes past you and wobbles down the inside of one, it's terrifying to watch.
I was, sadly, laid off today. Putting the feelers out for open positions, both full-time and freelance. I have 12+ years of experience covering culture, food and drink, travel and lifestyle as a writer, editor and project manager. Email is [email protected], fire away!
@Andy_Wheatley Substance wise, it's good, but not great. They're going for carbon neutral by 2030, Microsoft are going bigger - paying to remove more carbon than they emit. Certainly doesn't look like they are bringing their all to 'the world's most urgent priorities'
@JustRed_69@MikeyCycling@steveball11@GMB It is different because cyclists don't have a steel shell. If both can't hear and both get hit, the cyclist is dead. The driver just shaken up.
@johnnyboy9918@MikeyCycling@steveball11@GMB Because if you want to change things, you've got to take on the responsibility. Don't you chat to other cyclists at the lights if you've seen them doing something dodge like running a crossing or waiting on the inside LHS of a lorry?
