No surprise to see Alex move back down to the South West, following 12 months in the Midlands.
Shame to see him leave, as I thought he was very dependable and added much needed strength to our LCB role last season.
Good luck Alex!

@KieranBCAFC Blackpool fans suggested he worked hard, but wasnβt much good outside of that due to lack of goals with them.
Whilst we saw someone who worked hardx stayed fit pretty much all season (missed 1 game) and contributed to the team with 20 goal contributions across the season.
Shame to see Jake leave the club, but it is all part of the process. Brought a striker to the club who had a tag attached to him that he has spent this season removing.
Been a top addition for us, and wish him all the best. Work-rate phenomenal, and has added goals to his game.
Striker Jake Beesley will complete a move to Bradford City for an undisclosed fee upon the opening of the summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old netted 13 goals in all competitions last season, winning the Playersβ Player of the Year award.
Men's First Team Head Coach Gary Bowyer: "Last summer we recruited a player who we believed was a top striker in League One and needed the opportunity to show it. He was brought in to provide experience, goals and hunger to the team and he has done exactly that."
Sporting Director Richard Dorman: "We will continue to reinvest the transfer profit into our club, stadium and First Team playing squad to move towards building a stronger and sustainable club in the future.β
We'd like to wish Jake the best for the future. #TheBrewers
@Dan26834978 His work rate is phenomenal, one of the best Iβve seen at Albion. We found he worked better as part of a 2, but got plenty of service from wide areas, which is where he found most success.
20 goal contributions from 17th isnβt something to be sniffed at, and should do well.
Balls.
Big loss for #BAFC, with the work-rate, goals and general love from Bowyer, Beesley was a huge part of the squad last season.
JDB in 2024-25, Beesley in 2025-26, I wonder who Gary will pluck out this summer?
Bradford City are reportedly set to beat Stockport County in the race to sign striker Jake Beesley (29) from Burton Albion π Via | @reluctantnicko
It is believed that this deal will end the clubβs interest in Preston North End striker Michael Smith βοΈ

@burkeybcfc He gets a lot of chances, and inevitably puts the ball in the net with enough service. Hold-up play and work rate is excellent.
Iβm unsure on what system you play regularly, but he has tended to find most success as part of a front 2 with us, with service from WBs.
Gutted that we havenβt been able to keep hold of Alex, although it was probably expected, given he only signed a 12-month deal initially.
Could see him moving back to the South West, maybe a return to Exeter on the cards?
Good luck, Alex!

We can confirm that Alex Hartridge has left Burton Albion following the expiry of his contract.
Everyone at #TheBrewers would like to thank Alex for his efforts this past season, and wish him all the best in the future.
Bold but sensible. Initial thoughts saw myself question the appointment, but then you look further and see that Cohen and Shaw would have been big reasons behind the success of the Imps last season.
Smart to stick with the continuity of familiar coaching staff.
#WeAreImps
Skubalaβs influence on #WeAreImps over his tenure has been incredible. 103 points achieved in a single campaign is unattainable for most clubs that will ever play at this level
As an outsider, itβs a shame that we wonβt get to see what he would have done at the Imps next season
Tom has done a great job in progressing the club off the field, itβs such a shame we have to see his tenure end so soon, after he has been part of such big projects at other clubs also.
Good luck in your future roles Tom!

League One is confirmed!
First visits in league football to Bromley and Leicester City, just the one South West trip to Argyle, and some tasty fixtures to come too!
Reckon we will start away this time out, given weβve been at home the last couple of seasons!

Congratulations Notts County!
A result that never felt in doubt across the 90 minutes. Much the dominant team, Salford poor. Another very convincing play-off final victory this weekend!
Notts well on top after a very edgy opening quarter of the first half. Jodi Jones with a delightful assist for Jatta, before an unusual set piece routine put Notts further ahead.
Salford lacking any sort of threat in the attacking third so far, and have been really disappointing
π Wembley Stadium
Take 2 of the Wembley weekender sees the League Two Play-Off final find a winner between Notts County and Salford.
Down to the bottom tier today with the Notts fans, and I think they will join us in League One next year!
