Here's the bus on fire in the tunnel, and then some sort of following explosion. Fortunately, nobody hurt that we know of. The Metro bus driver escaped and there were no passengers...but as you can see in quoted post, the smoke consumed the skies around Capitol Hill...

Fire was located in a second floor apartment and on roof with minor extension to the roof of adjacent property.
All fire is extinguished.
One adult female transported with serious injuries.

The 2 occupants of this burning house were able to safely escape after being alerted by a working smoke alarm. Both had been asleep. There could have been a tragic outcome if not for the smoke alarm. Working smoke alarms SAVE LIVES!
