I will be hosting @ZAGABOND and @whizwang tomorrow at 9:30 am pst. Spaces, just as much as tweets, are our public forum, and for us to talk openly as a community is more important than ever. I hope you will join us.
All y’all “influencers” fudding @ZAGABOND and @AzukiOfficial clearly have NEVER built anything in your lives, Rome wasn’t built in a day. You think @AzukiOfficial just hit it big from first time founders with no experience on failed projects?
1/ My theory: @yugalabs's KYC requirement for the @OthersideMeta mint this Sat is NOT a KYC just to mint, it's a KYC to their marketplace that they'll launching for land and all their future drops. Marketplace obvi will be in @apecoin only
@CleanBeanNFT @yugalabs That a good point too. Tho I'd argue that their play (at the moment) is to make $APE as deflationary as possible tho, which is signaled by the rumor that they'll keep $APE used in Sat's sale locked for a year (or is this a confirmed rumor? honestly not sure)
3/ This also explains why they stopped allowing KYC on new wallets - @yugalabs's marketplace will be in beta, and they already have enough wallets to flood and test the beta. They'll open KYC eventually when they're ready to GA the marketplace
@JKB_90@NTrader27@RTFKTstudios unclear if you get future drops if you don't burn the gray mnlth @NTrader27 if I had to guess, Nike WANTS everyone to open the box and have kicks, so chances are they'll only give drops to ppl who've opened
IMO @RTFKTstudios's cryptokicks drop was an "expect the expected" scenario (which explains the immediate MNLTH floor tank upon reveal). but remember - Nike's got unlimited pockets and they WILL pour money to build out this ecosystem. rip paperhanders
@NTrader27@JKB_90@RTFKTstudios if you burn the first one (gray box), you get cryptokicks, skin vial, AND the gold box. the gold box will open later this year and likely be another product line (e.g., hoodie or something is my guess) or different kicks
2/ @AzukiOfficial holders who love the beanz art will keep their airdropped beanz. Those who don’t will sell to new entrants to the @AzukiOfficial ecosystem. Win-win-win scenario, amazing product play
1/ Honestly great play by @AzukiOfficial - the whole point of a standalone 20k collection is to bring more ppl into the ecosystem. The best way to gain a larger audience in this case is to make art that appeals to different ppl
If a project doesn’t need much money to get started, free minting’s the way to go. You could argue that you’re only going get degen/flippers minting since there’s no buy-in, but you gotta trust the process - as you build and it trades up, your jpegs will land in the right hands
We're excited to announce our collaboration with legendary Korean hip-hop trio, Epik High, to create original visual art for their upcoming Coachella performance.
There's only 1 threshold to meet to become a successful PFP project...everyone actually makes your #NFTs their profile pic on #cryptotwitter, @discord, and other digital presences. If you can't convince your core holders to make it their profile pic, you gotta pivot...
4/ Personally I’d love to see more acquisitions in this space. As early adopters in this space, we need to remember that we need to collectively root for #nfts to go mainstream, and anything that helps us do that is a major win for the ecosystem (and your bags)
1/ Re: my earlier tweet on @yugalabs (allegedly) acquiring @coolcatsnft - anti-competitive behavior is only “bad” if it negatively affects the consumer (in this case, the #NFT buyer). I would argue in this case, cool cat buyers actually WIN
3/ Anti-competitive behavior is only bad for the consumer when, instead of choosing between 2 products to buy, they can now only buy 1. The motivation for the now conglomerate to innovate is now gone. This is clearly not the case here
